OBLIVION WINTERS-The guitars are all finished for the new song. All that’s left are the keyboards, bass, and vocals (and the final mix/editing of course). Promising so far… I can’t wait to get this song finished. I’ll be doing the keys and bass probably tomorrow and I’ll definitely get the vocals finished on one of my upcoming nights off. Most likely, the vocals will be done on Monday night.
OBLIVION WINTERS-The intro and acoustic sections are finished for the new song. I have “scheduled” myself to do most (if not all) of the guitar tracks on Thursday. After that, I plan on at least getting the bass parts done on Friday. If all goes ideally, I will be recording vocals and doing the final mix next week around Tue or Wed.
OBLIVION WINTERS-The plan is to finish the bulk of the recording next week between Mon and Wed. I may try to work on the instrumental and acoustic parts from now until then. I procrastinate with the best of them, so sometimes I just need to schedule and force myself to do things. If not, nothing ever gets done…
OBLIVION WINTERS-The recording process has officially begun for the song “A Widow’s Walk through the Forest”. I ended up deciding to do the song in 3 parts on the recorder and piece them together later. It’ll be better this way for mixing. I’ll probably try to get the instrumental and acoustic parts done first. It’s already March, so I need to get my shit together lest I end up wasting another year unproductively. I picked up the slack at the end of 2007, but I don’t want to be in that situation again this year. It’s safe to say school really derailed me. The Lake of Widows’ Tears will be finished in 2008. I promise….. I’m going to push myself to get these last songs done within the next 3 months. Once AWWTTF is done, all that will be left are “The Lake”, “Take My Hand”, and a short mostly instrumental song called “Requiem”. I should give myself a deadline… Ok.. The deadline for the completion of the album is: June 12th. Hopefully I’ll get it done sooner though. I want to start working on new stuff. I haven’t decided on which OW album I’ll work on next between Winters in Oblivion or Downpour. I’m thinking that I’ll probably start Downpour and sort of dabble with Winters in Oblivion at the same time.
JEZEHELL-The music is already almost finished for 2 songs.
OBLIVION WINTERS-The drums are finished for the song “A Widow’s Walk through the Forest”. They had to be completed in 4 parts due to the many changes….you’ll find out… I have a great feeling about this song. It’s going to kick ass. It’ll be tough to record, but well worth the trouble.
I am going to get the drums done for the new OBLIVION WINTERS today. I got out of the groove when it comes to music because of school. I plan on getting the rest of “The Lake of Widows’ Tears” recorded before June. Who knows though, with how fleeting my inspiration and motivation are… I’m back on medication. There’s only so much a person can take of having a shitty life and a fucking lunatic walking around him in a circle all the time. What a winner… I feel like killing the guy 2/3 of the time. I know he can’t help it, but I can’t help getting mad either.
Good news for my millions of fans out there. I am dropping out of the spring semester at CSULB, so I’ll be having much more time to record new songs. Quite frankly, I can’t handle the pressure. I need to get a clear grasp of what I want to do. Right now I have no clue what I would be able to do with a history degree. I’m 99.5% sure that I don’t want to teach. I need to find a way to recover and get my head on straight. I’ve been feeling like I’m really losing it lately with all the depression and stress. Unfortunately, I may have to go back on medication again. It isn’t normal to be constantly nervous and irritated. I still plan on going back to CSULB in the future, but I am only setting myself up for failure by going now. Sadly, I’m a sitting duck.
I will be working on the next OBLIVION WINTERS very soon, and piecing together like a quilt the last 2 songs after that.
Ominous has already written some material for the project JEZEHELL, so we should be working on that soon as well. We have a few equipment issues to take care of and then we’ll be on our way.
TWILYCAN has changed names again. This time to 12TH POWER. It should be called “12th Name” or “12th Moniker” with how many times I have changed the projects name.
A new project has been formed called QUESTION DIVINE. The sound will be in a classic doom vein. Similar to Candlemass I suppose.
OBLIVION WINTERS-Work will begin shortly on the next song “A Widow’s Walk through the Forest”. Should be a fun song. It could be a little challenging due to the all keyboard beginning and an acoustic break in the middle. I’m looking forward to it though. Hopefully I can at least get the bulk of the work done before school starts. In order to do that, I’ll have to get the drums done during the next few days and the guitars done on sunday. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to pull this off at the moment. We’ll see I guess….
OBLIVION WINTERS-I know it’s a bit early, but I already have brainstormed the post-“Downpour” album. It’ll be called “In Praise of Pestilence” and will be a concept album about the deadliest diseases in human history. The sound is yet to be determined. Expect to hear almost all clean vocals on “Downpour”, however. I just feel that in order for OW to continue on, it has to evolve. Why did I tell you of this now? Because it’s my page and I wanted to ha ha. I really don’t think anyone reads this stuff anyway.
With school coming up (and work already looming over my head), I have to figure out how to fit recording into my busy schedule. I’ll be a real busy dude…
